of the disclosure A metal suspension half-cell for an accumulator is described, in which the metal suspension, consisting of metal particles and an electrolyte, has been stabilised by adding additive particles which comprise a ceramic material which promotes chain formation in the suspension. As a result of the said chain-forming ceramic material, the metal suspension can be operated essentially stationary within the half-cell. Diverse special geometries of the half-cell are illustrated. As a result of the composition of the suspension and the cell design, an increased cyclability of the cell is obtained. A method for operating a metal suspension halfcell according to the invention during charging/ discharging thereof and a metal suspension accumulator which comprises a half-cell according to the invention are also described. |
