<p>PURPOSE:To make both planing and thickening possible at the same position by a method wherein workpiece is fed automatically. CONSTITUTION:Press rollers 9a and 9b are arranged opposite to feed rollers 8a and 8b located on both sides of a cutter block. A planing platen is arranged on the feed roller side, while a thickening platen 6 is arranged on the press roller side. Either one of the feed roller and the press roller can develop the pressing forces, which are larger and smaller than the pressing force of the other one. By developing the pressing force of either one, workpiece is selectively pressed against either the planing platen or the thickening platen 6 so as to make planing work or thickening work possible.</p> |
