PURPOSE:To obtain necessary load torque with small radial load by winding a belt-like braking member around the outer peripheral surface of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A developing roller and a cleaning blade are brought into contact with the photosensitive body 4 which is driven through a gear 21, and the photosensitive body 4 is supported by a main body frame. The belt-like braking member 41 is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive body 4 near the end of the cylindrical part of the photosensitive body 4. One end of the braking member 41 is fixed to the main body frame, and the other end is supported by a spring 42 so that proper tension may be given to the member 41. The member 41 can be constituted of various materials, in the case that the material has proper friction coefficient and strength. Besides, the braking member is attached to a photosensitive unit. The braking member is wound around the outer peripheral part of the flange of the photosensitive body. |
