PURPOSE:To obtain an underwater-temperature-distribution measuring apparatus and an underwater-temperature-distribution measuring method which can quickly measure the distribution of water temperature in the direction of the depth even if a ship is being moved and can perform the measurements at many points at the same time. CONSTITUTION:An underwater-temperature-distribution measuring apparatus is constituted of a thermocouple 1 for measuring water temperature, a VF converter 2 for amplifying the output signal of the thermocouple 1 into the frequency signal in an ultrasonic wave region, a piezoelectric element 4 for discharging the ultrasonic-wave output into the water and an amplifier 3 for amplifying the frequency signal and applying the signal into the piezoelectric element 4. The underwater-temperature-distribution measuring apparatus is put into the water and made to sink. The output of the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the underwater-temperature-distribution measuring apparatus is received on a ship and the like during the sinking. The change in frequency of the ultrasonic-wave output is measured, and the underwater temperature distribution in the depth direction is obtained. |
