PURPOSE:To certainly control the fuel injection amount for a long period by reducing the clearance between a plunger and a sleeve at the position opposed to the force transmitted from a control means side. CONSTITUTION:A control sleeve 20 has a projection part 40 which projects inwardly towards a large-diameter part 3b which crosses at right angles to the flat-surface part 32 of a plunger 3, at the position crossing at right angles to the fitting part 20b at the lower edge. Therefore, a clearance delta for permitting the reciprocating movement of the plunger 3 is provided between the projection part 40 and the large-diameter part 3b. Therefore, even if a ball 22 is provided with the force in the radial direction B by the control operation for the fuel injection amount, the large tilt of the sleeve 20 is prevented, since the clearance delta is small, and the biting-in of the upper edge part of the sleeve 20 into a cylinder 2 is suppressed. Therefore, the fuel injection amount can be certainly controlled for a long period. |
