摘要 PURPOSE:To adjust adequately the quality of molding sand for forming a casting mold by detecting the quality of the regenerated sand for casting by utilizing a magnetic separator, calculating automatically the supply rate of fresh sand and the supply rate of a resin as a binder from the result thereof and adding the sand and the binder to the regenerated sand. CONSTITUTION:Regenerated sand 2 for casting is supplied by a screw feeder 4 to a magnetic separator 6 which drops the magnetized sand and the non-magnetized sand onto respective belt conveyors 10, 14. The weights thereof are measured by load sensors 11, 12 and 15, 16 and are inputted to a control device 37. The quality of the sand is decided from the weight ratio between the magnetized sand and the non-magnetized sand by the control device 37. The regenerated sand 2 is dropped by a screw feeder 18 onto a belt conveyor 20. An adequate amt. of fresh sand 24 is added and mixed to and with the regenerated sand and the mixture thereof is put into a hopper 27 by adjusting the number of revolutions of a motor 21 of a screw feeder 22 for supplying the fresh sand 24 from the result of the quality decision of the regenerated sand. The take-out amt. of the sand mixture 28 thereof and the resin 34 which is a binder is adjusted by the signal from a controller 37 to manufacture the adequate kneaded matter of the regenerated sand 2, the fresh sand 24 and the binder 34 in a kneading machine 32 and the mixture is fed to the part for forming the casting mold.
