<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate installation work of a spring which rotationally energizes a latch, ratchet or the like in a direction in a vehicle door lock device. CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle door lock device, a latch 4 engageable with a striker 3, a ratchet 5 engaged with the latch 4 for preventing counter rotation of the latch 4, and a spring 6 pressurizing the ratchet 5 with the latch 4 are housed in a recession 2 formed on a front side of a body 1, and the recession 2 on the body 1 is blocked with a cover plate 16. Side hooks 11, 12 parallelly arranged to a moving surface of the ratchet 5 are formed on both ends of the spring 6. One of the side hooks 11, 12 are inserted into a gap 14 between the ratchet 5 and a bottom wall 13 of the recession 2, while the other is inserted into an engagement hole formed on an end wall 10 of the recession 2.</p> |
