PURPOSE:To switch vibration absorption properties at a moment by turning on and off the impression voltage to an electrode, which is provided in a limit passage and conducts electricity to electroviscous fluid, based on the information from a car speed sensor and an engine speed detecting sensor. CONSTITUTION:Electroviscous fluid 38 is filled in a receiving pressure chamber 20 and a sub-liquid chamber 28 which are connected by a limit passage 32. An electrode plate 33 is provided to the limit passage 32 and is connected to one of the secondary terminal 64B of a DC-DC converter 64 through a high voltage cable 46, and a battery 66 is connected to the primary terminal 64A. A car speed sensor 76 and an engine speed detecting sensor 78 are connected to the controller 74 connected to the DC-DC converter 64, and in shake vibration, a value of voltage is applied to the electroviscous fluid 38 to give it high viscosity and improve the damping force of a vibration preventive device. In addition, in idling vibration, voltage is not applied to the electroviscous fluid 38 to lower the viscosity so that the liquid column of the electroviscous fluid 38 may be resonated in the limit passage 32 to lower the dynamic spring constant. |
