PURPOSE:To obtain the electronic musical instrument which can localize a sound image with characteristics matching selected timbre only by timbre selecting operation. CONSTITUTION:An automatic panning information memory part 14 is stored with plural kind of automatic panning data determining the localization state of the sound image and a timbre memory part 13 is stored with plural timbre data and also stored with specification data by the timbre data. When the timbre is selected by operating a tone select switch provided at a switch part 4, a musical sound generation part 16 generates a musical sound signal according to the timbre data and an automatic panning generation part 23 controls the localization of the sound image generated with a musical sound generated by a sound system 25 according to automatic panning data specified with the specification data. |
