PURPOSE:To provide a light shielding film for a liquid crystal display having low light transmissivity and high resistivity, capable of annealing at a high temp. and not affected by heat in a process for sealing a liquid crystal injecting hole. CONSTITUTION:A film of MnxFeyOz (where 0.8<=x<=1.2, 1.6<=y<=2.4 and 3.2<=z<=4.8) is used as a light shielding film 2 in place of a conventional film formed by printing with an org. polymer contg. a dispersed black pigment. The oxide film may be formed by sputtering, vapor deposition or printing with paste of the oxide. |
