The number of tunes on the disk but undesired for play are stored on an omit memory to skip the tunes when a disk is played. The method comprises: (A) storing the number of a tune currently played on an omit memory when an omit program key is depressed under an all repeat mode; (B) repeating the step (A) for a next tune till all tunes in a disk are played; (C) storing the number of a tune currently displayed on an intro. display on an omit memory when an omit program key is depressed under an intro mode; (C) storing the numbers of the tunes selected to be omitted on the omit memory under a stop mode; (D) skipping playing of the tunes which numbers are stored on the omit memory when an omit program play key is depressed under a normal play mode.
