ANALYTIC PROCESSING AND SYNTHETIC PROCESSOR FOR SOUND

PURPOSE:To maintain the quality of a synthesized sound and reduce the amount of data necessary for the synthesis by synthesizing the musical sound by using fixed data for a feature quantity of a musical instrument sound judged to be ineffective and using a feature quantity judged to be effective as it is. CONSTITUTION:A discrimination part 200 decides whether the feature quantity 103 obtained from an analysis part 102 is effective or ineffective in constant units by following a specific procedure. A synthetic preprocessing part 202 consists of a control part 203 and a data storage part 204 and has a function for replenishing single or plural fixed data which are set prior to synthesis for unit feature quantities judged by the discrimination part to be ineffective. The control part 203 actually controls the replenishment of the fixed data and a data storage part 204 holds the fixed data for the replenishment by the synthesis preprocessing part 202. The fixed data are used for the unit feature quantities which are judged to be ineffective and the unit feature quantities which are judged to be effective are used as they are to synthesize the specific sound.
