<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable apparatus which prevents a vehicle from rear-end collision by using a code modulation radar device capable of obtaining highly accurate data of the distance. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is provided with a code modulation radar device (measuring device of the distance between vehicles) 1 which has a clock circuit 10 for generating a clock signal the pulse width of which corresponds to the maximum detecting distance, a coding pulse generator 11 for generating a coding pulse on the basis of the clock signal, a correlation device 16 which measures the value of correlation based on the coding pulse signal between a transmission signal transmitted to the other moving object running behind the subject moving object and a receiving signal from the other moving object, and an operator 17 for calculating the distance corresponding to the correlation device. Moreover, the apparatus is equipped with a data processing device 3 which operates the possibility that the subject moving object is struck from behind by the rear moving object based on the data 2 of various kinds of sensor means such as a vehicle speed sensor and the like, and an alarming device 4 for generating alarm based on the operating result of the device 3.</p> |
