LASER SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a laser system which is capable of generating a laser beam which can drive without the supply of high voltage, high speed and large current pulses and has a good quality which is small in size and long in lifetime. CONSTITUTION:In a mode synchronizing OMEGA switch type laser oscillator, a solid- state laser medium is excited by means of laser light from a laser diode array so that a laser beam in a near infrared region may by generated. This laser beam is introduced into a non-linear crystal-included quadruple harmonic generator 4 amplified by a laser diode excitation type preamplifier 2 which drives based on a regenerative amplification system, using a similar solid-state laser beam medium and laser light and a laser diode excitation type main amplifier 3 based on a two pulse amplification system. The laser beam of near infrared wavelength is wavelength-converted into a laser beam of ultraviolet wavelength by the quadruple harmonic generator 4.
