<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of bending and to surely obtain a steel plate with a good flatness, in the case of cooling a hot rolled high temp. steel plate by water-cool. CONSTITUTION:In the method in which hot rolled high temp. steel plate is water-cooled from both upper and lower faces down to a prescribed temperature, the ratio of water volume for the upper and lower faces of the steel plate, which is indicated by the ratio of water volume of the upper face against that of the lower face, is increased or decreased in accordance with the thickness of the steel plate under the same average water volume density (volume per unit area and unit time); and by setting the ratio of the variation to decrease or increase in the inverse proportion, cooling is performed in consideration of the surface temp. of the cooling steel plate in accordance with the thickness of the steel plate.</p> |
