MAKING METHOD OF COLOR FILTER

The color filter is mfd. by (a) forming a flattening layer on the semiconductor substrate, (b) forming a color filter layer of a dichromic acid-mixed casein or gelatin on the filter layer, (c) forming a middle layer of a photosensitive resin (polyimide), (d) forming a aperture on the middle layer, (e) forming a dyeing layer by dyeing the exposed filter layer with a dyestuff, (f) removing the middle layer with a thinner or stripper, (g) dyeing the aperture with an another dyestuff, and (h) forming a protecting layer on the filter layer and the dyeing later. The color filter is used in a solid image pickup device.
