PURPOSE:To make it easy to express intermediate tone of image and to process at high speed by fetching data from frame memories so as to calculate and storing the calculated result in corresponding frame memories. CONSTITUTION:A color control means separates colors based on a designated color and sets pattern of each original color, and informs pattern generating means 15-17. After a preparation for generating pseudo-intermediate gradation is made, the pattern generating means 15-17 inform a color control means 18. When there is provided an instruction of drawing such as diagram, an image forming means 14 outputs drawing data to calculation means 19-21. Thus, the calculation means 19-21 operate in parallel, fetch the drawing data from the image forming means 14, data from the corresponding pattern generating means 15-17, and data from corresponding frame memories 11-13 and calculate them. The calculated result is stored in the frame memories 11-13, so that patterns of each original color expressed with intermediate tone are drawn in the frame memories 11-13. |
