PURPOSE:To manufacture an image forming device in which toner is fed efficiently into a toner passing opening formed on a base, fog is not generated and the image density is not lowered. CONSTITUTION:A signal electrode 35 and a common electrode 33 are installed across a toner passing opening 31a on an insulated base 31, and an electric field is formed between both electrodes 35 and 33 to pass through the toner of negative charge in the toner passing opening 31a. The toner of negative charge fed from a toner feeding roller 20 is fed to the insulated base 31 through a conductive mesh member 80. When an image is formed, a negative bias power source 83 is connected between the mesh member 80 and the toner feeding roller 20 by a changeover switch 81. In the case the image is not formed, the changeover switch 81 is changed over to connect a positive bias power source 82 between the mesh member 80 and the toner feeding roller 20. |
