PURPOSE:To provide a pneumatic tire which has improved running properties on an icy or snowy road without detriment to the running properties on a normal dry or wet road. CONSTITUTION:The objective pneumatic tire has a tread 13 which comprises a rubber compsn. contg. a polyvinyl alcohol powder in an amt. of 1-15 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. rubber and has a difference in JIS hardness between 20 deg.C and -10 deg.C of 8 or lower is provided. The polyvinyl alcohol powder having a viscosity of 10-70 cP, a degree of saponification of at least 80mol%, and a mean particle diameter of 30-1,000mum is used. |
