In the insulating layers (3) of fibre material at least one heat-resistant cord (4) is embedded which is wound around the bearer body (1) in several winds. The cord forms counterpoised wound winding sections, which connect in an axial direction of the bearer body and passes through the complete thickness of the insulating layer. The cord forms at least two superimposed layers which are counter-wound and is fixed at least at one point on the bearer body which is at a distance from the two cord ends. The cord consists principally of insulating fibres. ADVANTAGE - The strength of the roller is increased, reducing the need for maintenance.
