Prodn. of a laminate comprises bonding together two hydrophobic thermoplastic resin sheets. At least one sheet carries hydrophilic colloid layer(s) (I) contg. a photograph and/or other information. (I) is on the inner side of the two bonded sheets. The process comprises 1) treating (I) with an aq. compsn. contg. the self-crosslinking prod. of: i) an epihalohydrin (II) or an alpha-dihalohydrin (III): pref. epichlorohydrin; ii) a water-soluble polyamide; and iii) a water-soluble polyamine contg. at least 2 N atoms separated by at least 3 C atoms and opt. also by at least one O or S atom and having at least 2 H atoms attached to different N atoms, pref. methyl bis (3-aminopropyl)amine; 2) drying the layer(s) incorporating the reaction prod. of (1); and 3) applying heat and pressure to cause the hydrophobic resin sheets to be bonded together with (I) arranqed between them.
