摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject carbon fiber having excellent mechanical strength by carrying out surface analysis of surface-treated carbon fiber by X ray photoelectron spectral analysis method to establish a method for evaluating surface functional group of carbon fiber and thereby accurately judge adhesiveness with a matrix resin and selecting the carbon fiber. CONSTITUTION:The objective carbon fiber exhibiting C1S spectrum satisfying the following conditions: (i) an area in which C1S peak and the 2nd peak shifted in an amount of 0.4-1.1eV on high energy side from the peak and having 0.2-1.6eV half value width thereof are eliminated from C1S spectrum of surface treated carbon fiber is 3-40% based on area of C1S total spectrum, (ii) Gauss distribution type peak area located on 1.2-2.0eV high energy side from C1S peak is 3-40% based on the area of the total C1S spectrum and (iii) Gauss distribution type peak area located on 3.1-5.0eV high energy side from C1S peak is 3-40% based on the area of the total C1S spectrum. |
