PURPOSE:To enable the reading of displayed time and the like even in the case of a display part being placed in the vertically reverse state or the like due to the way of placing time or the installed direction being reverse and enable the visual reading of elapsed time together with the time in the case of the way of placing time or the installed direction being reversed. CONSTITUTION:In a timekeeper provided at its body with a time display part 42 for displaying time digitally and an operating part for setting time and the like, the body is provided with a vertical reversal detecting device, and when the reversal of the body is detected by the reversal detecting device, the vertical display of the time displayed on the time display part 42 can be displayed reversely by a reversing signal from a control part. A lapse display part 41 is also provided separately from the time display part 42, and the operating part is provided with a timer setting means. When a reversing signal is outputted from the control part during timer setting in progress, the elapsed time is multiplied by the time set by the timer setting means so as to change the display of the lapse display part 41. |
