<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the unstable input/output characteristic of the magnetic tape recording/reproducing operations by evading the deterioration of the repro ducing characteristic caused by the scratches of the tape end part, the exfolia tion of the magnetic powder, etc., and also tracing accurately the tracks of even a DCC tape that has the extremely narrow tracks. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 2 of a magnetic tape recording/reproducing device is provided with an approximately U-shaped tape guide 4 at least at the single side of the moving direction of a magnetic tape 3 so that the tape 3 rubs the head 2 in a fixed direction. Meanwhile the tape guide surface of the bottom part of the guide 4 is obliquely formed at a corner part of the U-shape of the guide 4 where one of both ends of the tape 3 rubs in its width direction. Then the tape guide surface of the guide 4 is also obliquely formed at a corner part of the U-shape of the guide 4 where the other end of the tape 3 rubs in its width direction.</p> |
