The sealing ring (1) has an additional circumferential sealing lip (4) located externally and in the direction of the collar (3). The lip locates around the external edge of the pipe under tension.In the unloaded state, the sealing lip forms an angle alpha of less than 45 deg. and so is relative to the basic surface of the sleeve body (2). The body has outer ribs (6,7), those (6) in the central area run from the collar to the sealing lip and those (7) in the end area, run in the opposite direction.
