<p>PURPOSE:To reduce failure of a cemented lens due to adhesion of a dust, etc., and to obtain a high accurately centered cemented lens in a short cycle time. CONSTITUTION:Lenses 15 vertically accommodated in a washing basket 10 are adsorbed by a lens-adsorption unit 24 of a lens conveyer 22 and the adsorbed lenses 15 are placed on a receiving unit 18 set on a table 16 of an index unit 17. The receiving unit 18 is composed of a pair of holders so that an upper lens and a lower lens for a cemented lens may be placed thereon and a bell part is formed in the surface of the holder for the lower lens. An energy-curing adhesive is applied to the adherend surface of the lower lens by using an adhesive applicator 19 and the upper lens is placed on the lower lens for the purpose of provisional cementing by a lens-cementing unit 20. The provisionally lens is centered by a centering unit 21 according to a bell-shaped clamper method. Light is subsequently applied to the adhesive between the lenses so as to cure the adhesive. The cemented lens is conveyed through the lens conveyor 22 to the washing basket 10.</p> |
