<p>PURPOSE:To treat a used catalyst with a metallic foil carrier in a short time and to efficiently separate and recover a metal of the platinum group from the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst with a metallic foil carrier is immersed in a soln. contg. sodium hydroxide and hydrazine and leaching is carried out by applying ultrasonic vibration. By this leaching, an alumina layer contg. cerium oxide formed as a catalytically active layer is dissolved and a metal of the platnum group is recovered in a black state.</p> |
