<p>PURPOSE:To restrict a burst traffic so as to satisfy a cell abort quality request of the user by using a bufferless model so as to catch a short term overflow through simplicity in the case of plural call classes. CONSTITUTION:A burst traffic controller 20 restricts a traffic arrival state on a link 10 in an objective asynchronous transfer system. That is, the input to a cell abort rate averaged for a long period is restricted by using a peak rate, an average rate, an average burst consecutive time and an average burst arrival interval being traffic parameters of each call so that conditions to a short-term cell abort event are satisfied. Then a short-term cell abort rate is evacuated by using a factor resulting from dividing an average of an overflow speed (R-C) for a period of R>C by an average R for a period of R<C, where R is a probability variable representing the sum of arrival speeds of simultaneous arrival bursts to a link and C is a link capacity.</p> |
