PURPOSE:To prevent peeling the insulating layer off the external surface of a superconductor due to load generated when a coil is manufactured. CONSTITUTION:A sheathed superconductor is formed by joining a metallic sheet 4 having a high-strength insulator beforehand joined thereto to an ordinarily conductive and soldered layer 3 enclosing a superconductor 2 via low melting point solder. As the result, the shear strength of an insulating layer is increased, also the conjoining strength of the insulating layer and the external surface of a superconductor is increased as well, the insulating layer is never delaminated partly therein when a coil is manufactured, and peeling the insulating layer off the external surface of the superconductor can be further prevented so as to secure the insulating function and cooling function of the superconductor. |
