PURPOSE:To make the fixture of a mouthpiece strong and to better the appearance of the can opening by forming the inner curling part on the vertical rising cylindrical part provided on the top plate of the can and fixing a fixed mouthpiece with the outer bending of the curling part from the base end after the outer insertion of a fixed mouthpiece. CONSTITUTION:An annular recessed part 5 and vertical rising cylindrical part 3 are formed by a pressing on one part of the top plate 1 of a can and a circular hole 3b is opened by leaving the outer peripheral edge 3a on the apex face of the cylindrical part. In this case, some whirl stop projecting parts are formed on the annular recessed part 5. The inner curling part 7 is thereafter made after forming a precurl 7a on the outer peripheral edge 3a. A fixed mouthpiece 4 is then outer-inserted to this vertical rising cylindrical part and the whirl stop is performed by setting the whirl stop recessed part of the lower part flange of the mouthpiece 4 to the whirl stop projecting part of the annular recessed part 5. The inner curling part 7 is thereafter press-contacted to the upper end face of the fixed mouthpiece 4 with the outer bending of the inner curling part 7 from the base end 7b and the fixed mouthpiece 4 is fixed to the top plate 1. The insertion of the fixed mouthpiece 4 can thus be made easy, the winding end of the outer bent inner curling part is not exposed to the external part and the can opening of good external appearance can be made.
