PURPOSE:To detect not only failures of a sensor and a gear transmission mechanism but also failure of a hydraulic power transmission, by structuring a control device so as to make decision of failures when the relation between input side rotation speed and output side rotation speed of the hydraulic power transmission reaches a range which is theoretically impossible. CONSTITUTION:A control device is equipped with an engine rotation speed detecting means 1, an output shaft rotation speed detecting means 2 and a conversion stage detecting means 3 for a gear transmission mechanism, and a hydraulic power transmission output side rotation speed calculating means 4 which calculates the rotation speed on the output side of the hydraulic power transmission according to the signals from the output shaft rotation speed detecting means 2 and the conversion stage detecting means 3. Combination of the engine rotation speed detected by the engine rotation speed detecting means 1 and the hydraulic power transmission output side rotation speed calculated by the hydraulic power transmission output side rotation speed calculating means 4 is decided whether it is possible or not from the viewpoint of performance of the hydraulic power transmission and that of an engine, and in the case of being an impossible combination from the viewpoint of performance, it is decided to be a failure by a failure deciding means 5. |
