A two-part merchandise display-hook comprising a moulded plastic base member provided with a socket for the reception of a mounting portion of a wire hook position is mfd. by (a) gripping wire from a continuous length and bending it to form the outer portion of the book, (b) severing and bending the wire in a single operation to form the mounting portion, and (c) maintaining gripping of the wire while a pre-oriented and guided base member is applied over the first-formed mounting portion of the wire.
