<p>PURPOSE: To accurately measure the amt. of air sucked by an internal combustion engine by forming an air bypass passage of the passage insert member arranged in the notch between a taper section and an annular wall. CONSTITUTION: A passage insert member 22 extends in parallel to the passage axial line 23 of casings 2, 3 and an annular passage 24 is present in succession to the passage insert member 22. The annular passage 24 is restricted by an annular wall 27, the outer wall surface 28 of a taper section 4 and the surface 29 directed to the casing upper part 2 of the flange 30 extended in the radius direction of the casing lower part 3. The annular passage 24 is opened to the narrowest cross-sectional surface of a Venturi-shaped main passage 6 in the form of the outflow opening 31 partially extending in a peripheral direction. A hot film air amt. measuring device composed of a measuring resistor 33 of temp. dependence having a longitudinal flat substrate is arranged in an air bypass passage 17 or the passage insert member 22.</p> |
