发明名称 MEASURING APPARATUS FOR LIQUID LEVEL
摘要 PURPOSE: To measure a liquid level under a high temp. and high pressure condition with high reliability by directly measuring the liquid level by using a time region reflecting measuring method using short high frequency pulses reflected from the surface of a liquid. CONSTITUTION: The shell 10 of a probe communicates with the interior of a boiler and the space 14 above water 13 is filled with pressurized steam. A steel rod 15 is supported on a constant position ring 16 at its lower end and the upper end thereof is attached to a titanium rod 17. The upper end of the rod 17 is connected to a titanium tube 18 by a collar 19. The probe is filled with a liquid up to a level to be measured and the upper part thereof is filled with steam to send high frequency pulses to the upper end of the probe from a coaxial feeder 21. The probe has a first discontinuous part generating reference pulses in the vicinity of its upper end and the distance between the surface of the liquid and the first discontinuous part is calculated from the reference pulses and the reflected pulses from the surface of the liquid.
