PURPOSE:To improve the breakdown voltage and the varistor characteristic and reduce the nominal no-load resistance replaced by Ca. CONSTITUTION:Part of the A site position (Ba1-x, Mx) of a composite composed of (Ba1-x, Mx)TiO3 (where, M is Sr or Pb. If M is Sr. 0<=x<=0.3; if M is Pb, 0<=x<=0.7) is replaced by Ca, and calcined at 1050-1200 deg.C. Ca compound is added to the calcined powder at a ratio of the former of 0.05mol% or more to the latter of 1mol, and the resultant mixture is fired at 1300-1400 deg.C. |
