PURPOSE:To obtain the automatic playing device which generate sounds to be generated at the same time even in editing mode by providing a musical sound generating means which generates musical sounds according to automatic performance data read out by a reading means. CONSTITUTION:A ROM 12, a RAM 13, a performance data memory 14, a console panel 15, and a sound source circuit 18 are connected to a CPU 10. The ROM 12 is stored with a control program and timbre data, registers for storing data generated at the time of an automatic performance and editing operation are set in the RAM 13, and the performance data memory 14 is stored with the automatic performance data. The console panel 15 includes an LCD display unit 16 and various key switches 17. For reproduction, the automatic performance data are read out according to a clock and inputted to the sound source circuit 18 to carry out an automatic performance. In the editing mode, data can be read out, sound by sound, by key switch operation and displayed and the sounds can be generated; and the data can be edited by rewriting the display contents. |
