<p>PURPOSE:To provide the image storage device which performs an optimum coding processing corresponding to the change of input image data with the small scale of hardware configuration. CONSTITUTION:Frame image data are coded by a coding processing parameter at a coding processing part 103 and on the other hand, decoded data outputted from the decoding part of the processing part 103 and the current frame image data are supplied to a similarity calculation part 108. The similarity between two image data is calculated, it is confirmed whether the similarity is larger than a prescribed threshold value or not and when it is larger than the prescribed threshold value, the coded data are stored. When it is smaller than the prescribed threshold value, a recoding processing is performed by changing the coding processing parameter of the processing part 103. When the similarity does not exceed the prescribed threshold value even after the recoding processing is performed, the final coded data are stored. In the case of storing the coded data, the feature information of the image is prepared by an image feature information preparation part 109 and stored together with the coded data.</p> |
