PURPOSE:To obtain a nonmagnetic one-component toner which realize a longer life of a developer while fixing property is maintained by incorporating a polyester resin of trivalent or higher carboxylic acid as the toner component and specifying the glass transition temp. and melt viscosity of the toner. CONSTITUTION:This nonmagnetic one-component toner contains a polyester resin in which trivalent or higher carboxylic acid is used as the toner component. This toner has >=70 deg.C glass transition temp. and 1X10<5> poise melt viscosity at 140-170 deg.C. The resin used is the estrification product of polyhydric alcohols and polyvalent carboxylic acids and can be easily prepared, for example, by condensation polymn. in a soln. This toner has enough fixing property for practical use in a nonmagnetic one-component developing method and can stably give good picture image qualities even for development of lots of sheets. |
