The computer (4) is fitted into a recess (1) in a substantially rectangular receptacle between two sidewalls (2,3) and between front and rear upstands (5,6). It is retained by a pair of fixtures (7) on the respective sidewalls which bear upon its two sides. A carrying handle (8) is fixed to the left-hand sidewall. A pocket (10) is provided in the right-hand sidewall (3) for e.g. a flexible-cable-connected bar-code-reading stylus. USE/ADVANTAGE - With laptop computers or electronic notebooks, use of the appts. in various locations is facilitated esp. where no suitable surface for the computer to stand upon is available.
