The printer has an entry slot (2) for each film strip. This feeds the film past a scanner and into a holding cassette (15) from which it is extracted and passed over the printing head (16). The processed film is pushed into the core-less magazine (26) comprising a fixed section (28) and a hinged section (23) to form a loose loop for removal and packing. The hinged section is pushed up by the force of the film strip loading. The film strip is securely wound without dropping onto the floor and is easily removed for further processing. ADVANTAGE - Simple handling even of long film strips, and reduced damage risk.
