A luggage container is fastened behind the saddle (2) via a longitudinal bar (3). The bar is fastened to the head (5) of the seat pin (6). A sleeve (17) is pushed over the bar to stabilise the holder (1). The sleeve is fastened by claws (20) and a threaded bar (19), which is fastened to it. A solid luggage container has a fastening element (12), which fits the longitudinal bar. Element and bar consist of tubes. The tubes fit into each other telescopically, and there is a device (13,14) to lock the element in the bar. USE/ADVANTAGE - Luggage carrier for bicycles, esp. racing and mountain bikes, is lightweight, simple, quick, and easy to mount and can hold sufficient luggage for day trip, etc.
