PURPOSE:To provide a scanning tunnel microscope for measuring a macromolecule such as protein or the like by covering a pointed metal wire with an organic membrane, removing a tip of this metal wire by means of electrolytic evaporation and, after electroanalysis is subjected to the metal wire, removing the organic membrane. CONSTITUTION:Using a chemisorption process, a pointed metal wire is processed by a chlorosilane chemical absorbent, forming a monomolecular film 2, then the tip part alone is removed by means of electrolytic evaporation, subsequently, metal is electroanalized to the tip of this metal wire, forming a sharped metal tip part 4. Finally, this chemisorption film 2 is wholly removed by means of alkali treatment and so on. |
