PURPOSE:To produce the substantially pure non-glycosylated human interleukin-2 protein. CONSTITUTION:The substantially pure non-glycosylated human interleukin-2 protein which is obtained by the culture of a transformed Escherichia coli and which has a specific activity of >=10<4> U/mg. The protein can safely be used as a raw material for injection medicines because of being extremely reduced in the contents of contaminated proteins and pyrogens.
