PURPOSE:To enable the recycle of foamable styrene resin particles which give a molded foam having sufficient properties. CONSTITUTION:A foam made from a foamable styrene resin is thermally shrunk into a mass with a specific gravity of 0.4 or higher, and is then reduced into particles. The particles having diameters of 0.3-5mm are taken out, dispersed in a dispersion medium containing an organic dispersant, and impregnated with a hydrocarbon which readily volatilizes at 100-140 deg.C.
