ROLL STAMPER FOR OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM AND PREPARATION OF SUBSTRATE FOR OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To form a substrate for an optical information recording medium which is free from deformation and indicates a small degree of birefringence without dispersion by controlling the temperature dispersion in the peripheral part of a fixture and the central part of a stamper. CONSTITUTION:A fixture 4 is fixed on each of the both end parts of a flexible stamper 3 with an irregular pattern on the surface. On a forming roller 2, channels are formed to which the fixtures 4 are engaged to face each other. On the bottom of each channel, a thermal conductor 5 is arranged. The flexible stamper 3 is fixed on the peripheral surface of the forming roller 2 by engaging the fixtures 4 with the corresponding channels and fastening them with screws. Since the fixture 4 adheres to the forming roller 2 through the thermal conductor 5, heat of the fixture 4 is easily transmitted to the forming roller 2.
