The optoelectronic appts for three-dimensional objects projects (1) a beam on to the surface of the object to be analysed and detects the luminous rays reflected from the object and a means of calculating the coordinates of the points of each reflected beam. The projector has a spatial light modulator (SLM), a light source (7), a first objective (8) of uniform illumination from a liquid crystal source (6), a second objective (9) for image projection consisting of a luminous beam on the object to be analysed, and some means of controlling the liquid crystal source so that the beams of white light are projected sequentially on to the object. The liquid crystal source has a matrix of N x N elementary elements capable of transparency modulation using a video signal using a display screen and with SLM crystals. The calculations (5) are processed by a micro-computer with an image memory card and using an electronic transparency.
