Implant of material which can be resorbed in the body of a human or an animal. A first section 1 of the implant is made of a first resorbable material, and a second section 2 is made of a second resorbable material. The structure and composition of these materials are such that, after implantation, the material of the first section 1 on average is broken down more slowly than the material of the second section 2. Advantages: the release of material into the body is spread over a longer period when the implant is broken down, resulting in less strong reaction, and the strength of the implant decreases more gradually. <IMAGE>
