PURPOSE:To prevent application of excess thrust to a shaft when a rotating polygon mirror is attached to a rotor. CONSTITUTION:The rotor 5 of a motor M1 for rotating a rotating polygon mirror 8 is secured to a flange 4, and the flange 4 is integrally secured to a shaft 3. The shaft 3 is fitted into the shaft hole 8b of the rotating polygon mirror 8, and the rotating polygon mirror is seated on the upper surface of the flange 4 and then a holding spring 9 is loosely fitted around the shaft 3 and the spring members 11, 12 of the holding spring 9 have their leg portions 11a, 12a slid along respective mirror through holes 8c, 8d and respective flange through holes 4a, 4b and the main body 10 of the holding spring 9 is engaged with the upper surface of the rotating polygon mirror 8 and the lock claws 11b, 12b of the leg portions 11a, 12a are engaged with the lower surface of the flange 4. The rotating polygon mirror 8 and the rotor 5 are pressed into contact with each other by the pressure with which the main body 10 is held by the lock claws 11b, 12b, so that the mirror 8 and the rotor 5 are integrally coupled to each other. |
