Marking the yarn end on bobbins - uses a marking strip wound into the last few turns
摘要
The yarn end on a bobbin is marked by winding the yarn end over part of a marking strip. The marking strip can be a loop of adhesive paper or a film strip of same polymer as the yarn. A winder (1,3) has waste suction nozzle (4) with a cutter at the inlet arranged to be tangential to a full bobbin. An actuating cylinder (8) applies an adhesive marking strip with a stamp (7) at the end of the winding process after the yarn has been lifted out of the traverse. In an alternative arrangement the direction of rotation of the bobbin is reversed at doffing by an additional drive, a length of yarn is unwound into the suction nozzle, the marking strip is inserted and the yarn is wound on again to trap the strip. USE/ADVANTAGE - The yarn end on the package can easily be found at subsequent operations.
