An ironing board is equipped with electricity supply and service devices, e.g. a sleeve board, lead guide, illuminating unit etc. The longitudinal side (15) of the ironing surface is equipped with a tiltable or insertable extension (16) adjoined by an antislide edge. On the transverse side (3), the ironing board has a support box (5) with an electric centre and a laundry support (25) which can be tilted above the electric centre.
